The export of the 2022 harvest from Madagascar is late this year. Under normal circumstances, annual approval for the export of the new vanilla harvest is set for sometime in October—authorizations to release this year's crop for export were held up for a couple of months for bureaucratic reasons and are now officially ready for export. We are excited to see the new 2022 vanilla harvest finally released.
This year we are importing USDA Certified Organic Madagascan vanilla from HACCP and Kosher-certified facilities. In addition to the popular Madagascan Bourbon Split Extract Grade Vanilla, we're introducing an Organic Madagascar Bourbon TK Vanilla. If you're unfamiliar with TK vanilla, a good way of thinking about them is that they are a low-moisture Grade A bean—sometimes TK beans are referred to as European Gourmet.
